| It is here at Listuguj that Micmacs, Acadians and French fought together against the English in 1760. Only 3 French vessels opposed the English force: the Machault, the Marquis de Malauze and the Bienfaisant. This community situated on the border of New Brunswick lives on Atlantic time. The Micmac church Sainte-Anne-de-Restigouche, its statue of Sainte-Anne blessing an Amerindian and its stained-glass windows are well worth the visit. Facing the church is the reconstitution of an old fort.
