| This municipality's name was Carleton West from 1887 to 1903. Father Joseph-Omer Normandin is the founder of Saint-Omer and the village was later named in his honor in 1904. West of Saint-Omer you will find a bird sanctuary visible from the rest area. A visit to the Gothic style church is a must.
