OUR EXHIBITIONS FOR THE SEASON 2006

A Garden under the Sea
Swarming with life, the submarine landscapes present a real spectacle that divers have the chance to contemplate, but these landscapes still remain a mystery for most people. The exhibition A Garden under the Sea presents a live collection of organisms that live in the St. Lawrence. Our aquariums and basins are packed with a surprising variety of life forms that visitors have the ultimate chance to meet in face-to-face. Discover the great variety of organisms that live in the St. Lawrence waters and their adaptation to their living conditions. Even more, the visitors who are a little more daring can also dip their fingers into our hands-on basins and tickle molluscs and crustaceans. All for an exciting and memorable experience !

Mysteries under the waves of the St. Lawrence
This exposition will surprise you by its unsuspected aspects of the St. Lawrence. This exposition will unveil surprising plants, unknown animals, chemical and physical breathtaking phenomena, you will also discover the dormant ship wrecks that are hidden at the bottom of the sea. The mysterious world of the majestic sea can sometimes be demystified!

Belugas: the next wave
This exhibition will allow you to discover this small white whale’s habitat, how it reproduces, what it feeds on, how it communicates and the evolution of the species. You will learn about its hectic history reciting how man and the Belugas met on the sea, starting with the intensive hunting years up to the hope that was instated by the efforts to protect it.

The interactive project “Meeting with the Belugas” received the Boomerang 1997 Prize and has also received the Corposvision 1998 Grand Prize. The exhibition was carried out by the Montreal Biodôme.
