The economy of Tourelle is based mainly on fishing, agriculture and forestry. Plan a stop at the rest area east of Tourelle and enjoy the splendid view of the St. Lawrence. There is also a breathtaking scenery in the backcountry with numerous farms overlooking the village (300 m altitude).
From the harbor protecting many fishing boats, you can have access to the little turret. There used to be a second bigger turret but it collapsed in 1982. Even with such a name, the little turret is pretty impressive in size.
