Saint-Octave-de-Metis is located on a hill. From here, you have a unique view of the region, from Sainte-Flavie to the west to Baie-des-Sables to the east and from the North Shore to the valley in the south. The name "Mitis" comes from the Micmac and means aspen and birch, species of trees found in the area. Take time to visit one of the most beautiful churches in the region.
