Sainte-Flavie represents the entrance of the Gaspésie. In other words, your visit around the Peninsula might begin or end here. Located along the St. Lawrence, Sainte-Flavie has some of the most beautiful sunsets of the region. For that reason and many others, you will easily find many accommodations nearby. Going east from Rimouski, you cannot miss a strange observation tower converted into a house. It was used as an observation post during WWII to watch for menacing German submarines. There is also another tower going east. At the meeting point of Hwy 132, you will find a presbytery converted into a cultural centre. Restaurants and art studios are easy to find as well as the Mitis River Park located east of Sainte-Flavie.
