Description Pictures
This village is of importance in the history of fishing in the Gaspe. In 1840, John LeBoutillier from Jersey built warehouses for salt, flour and salt cod in order to take charge of the commercial fishing. In 1860, he also had a magnificent manor built.

L'Anse-au-Griffon is one of the loveliest villages in the Gaspe. Wherever we look, the landscape is beautiful. Many houses have kept their look of yesterday. If you are a hiking enthusiast, trails cross the peninsula and join Peninsule on the Bay of Gaspe.
