Description Pictures
The English frigate Penelope sank during the night of April 30th, 1815.. It is said that cannon shots were heard on the night of the shipwreck but nobody knew what was happening. The next day a few survivors and debris from the wreck were found on the shore. Today it is still possible to see the cannons at low tide at the place called "Anse aux Canons" (Cannons Cove) situated east of the village.

Pointe-a-la-Fregate is a small 100-meter wide village, along the coast. At the rest area you have a beautiful view of the sea.
