Description Pictures
Originally this village was settled by the Irish but near the end of the 19th century, it became francophone. Saint-Majorique is situated at the mouth of the Dartmouth River and has concentrated its economy on the forest industry and salmon fishing.

From the cemetery, you have a beautiful view of the estuary, the Bay of Gaspe and the bridge. It is possible to go salmon fishing on the river.
