The economy of this community is centered on the fishing industry. The harbor is very busy with its cod-fishing, crab-fishing and lobster-fishing boats. Near the harbor is a fish processing plant, a cold storehouse and vigneaux, trellis-covered tables on which fish are put out to dry.
