The first settlers arrived in the region around 1868. Saint-Damase was founded in 1886 by Father Damase Morisset who gave his name to this charming hamlet.

Saint-Damase has become a coveted spot for outdoor activities. There are about 20 lakes in the region, some with plenty of trout.

During summer, have fun at the recreation camp or during one of many theatrical plays.
